Detective Brian Glick

President, El Monte Police Officers Association

Senior Detective Brian Glick grew up in the City of El Monte and graduated from Arroyo High School in 1988. Brian joined the United States Marine Corps and served in the Infantry Division for 6 years. Brian was hired as a police officer for El Monte in 1991 and has been employed with the City for 17 years. During his employment with El Monte, Brian has been assigned to the Patrol Division, Special Emergency Response Team, School Resource Officer and the Detective Bureau. Brian is a Senior Detective assigned to working Financial Crimes. Brian is currently serving his 7th year as a Board Member and his third year as the President on the El Monte Police Officers' Association Board of Directors.

Senior Detective Eric A. Walterscheid

Senior Detective Eric Walterscheid grew up in the Los Angeles area and attended Loyola High School in Los Angeles.  Eric was hired as a police officer for El Monte in 1990 and has been employed with the City for 19 years. During his employment with El Monte, Eric has been assigned to the Patrol Division, Special Investigations Team, Community Relations Office as a School Resource Officer, Mounted Patrol and the Detective Bureau. Eric is a Senior Detective assigned to working child abuse cases.  Eric was first elected to the Police Officers' Association Board of Directors in 1992, serving numerous terms.  Eric is currently serving his fourth year as a Board Member and as the Vice President on the El Monte Police Officers' Association Board of Directors.

Detective Jake Fisher

Board Member

Detective Jake Fisher is in his eleventh year with the El Monte Police Department and his fourth year as a Board Member of the EMPOA.  Prior to law enforcement, he worked in the California State Legislature and earned a bachelor of science degree from Murray State Univeristy, Kentucky.

Officer J Edwards

Treasurer

Officer Edwards is in his ninth year with the El Monte Police Department and is currently assigned to the patrol division. Prior to law enforcement, he completed a Bachelor's Degree in Business Finance with a Minor in Small Business Management. His work experience includes accounting, sales, management, and entrepreneur. As of January 2011, Officer Edwards was elected to the El Monte Police Officers' Association (EMPOA) Board of Directors. He will diligently serve the members of the EMPOA as the Treasurer.

Corporal Gary Gall

Secretary

Corporal Gary Gall was hired as a Police Officer in 1994 and has been employed with the City of El Monte for over 16 years.  He is currently assigned to Patrol as a Corporal and has been on the departments SWAT team for 12 ½ years.  He has worked as a motor officer, a detective and is one of several Range Instructors within the department. Gary has received several awards for recovering stolen vehicles and recently received two Medal of Valor awards for two separate incidents. He was elected to the EMPOA Board in January 2011 and currently holds the position of secretary.
